Superior Flexibility and Reliability Results in Reflex Label’s Second MPS Press Line Investment
< News overview
Leading UK label and packaging printer Reflex Labels acquired for its Gateshead production plant the company’s second MPS press line, an EF510 10 colour UV flexo press.
DIDAM, The Netherlands (November 5th, 2012) – MPS today announced another press order from UK-based Reflex Labels for their second MPS investment, an EF510 10 colour UV flexo press. Superior flexibility, reliability and performance are factors that led to Reflex Labels’ purchasing decision.
The MPS EF510 20” flexo packaging press can effectively print a range of substrates from 15 micron BOPP to 450 gsm/m2 of cartonboard, which was proven with Reflex Labels’ existing MPS press. Due to the success of their previous MPS press investment two years ago, an earlier MPS EF model, the management of Reflex Labels decided to order the second MPS press ahead of the originally scheduled expenditure. Their production floor which includes other label presses was reorganised to accommodate the next generation MPS press.
In reviewing the contribution to Reflex Labels’ business, based on quality and market results, the first MPS press investment was very successful. Both production time and set-up waste have been reduced significantly since the installation of the first press. Dave Ewing, Reflex Labels Operations Manager states: “The MPS EF press has surpassed all our expectations in flexibility and reliability. The print quality on a wide range of substrates is excellent, and the operators have remarked that it is extremely user-friendly to run.”
Eric Hoendervangers, Commercial Director of MPS commented: “On top of the many industry awards received by Reflex Labels, we see this sale as an award for MPS’ smart and sustainable tailored technology in packaging printing. We warmly congratulate Reflex Labels on their second MPS press investment that will undoubtedly bring Reflex Labels new successes.”
