MPS receives ISO 9001:2008 certification
< News overview
Earlier this month, Lloyd's Register Quality Assurance (LRQA) presented MPS with a certificate of approval for the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001:2008. This certification confirms that MPS has a quality management system in place that meets rigorous customer demands, legal requirements and internal quality requirements.
Wilfred Jansen, Quality Manager at MPS headquarters in The Netherlands had the honour to receive the certificate on behalf of the company. “This certification with global recognition is awarded only when very stringent parameters are met,” Jansen comments. “It proves to our customers and suppliers that we have a strict quality structure in place with highly-qualified technical personnel that oversee the entire production process. Attention is paid to every single component of a press — that is how we guarantee high quality of each MPS press that leaves our facility.”
Bert van den Brink, Technical Director and co-founder of MPS, is also proud of the certification. “MPS is very committed to maintaining stringent manufacturing processes that deliver high quality products and services and serve the label and packaging industry at an international level. It’s been our commitment from day one.”
LRQA is the world's leading provider of independent assessment services including certification, validation, verification and training across a broad spectrum of standards and schemes, with recognition from over 50 accreditation bodies.
The scope of the LRQA certificate of approval is applicable to MPS engineering, sales, manufacturing and servicing of its high-end printing presses.
